Terms & Conditions

By booking Kinfolk Salon & Studios ("Studio"), you ("Renter") agree to the following Terms & Conditions.


ENTERING THE STUDIO

  • Studio access code will be sent in your confirmation email. DO NOT SHARE.

  • Enter through the front-door Salon entrance only

  • Back doors, entrances, and stairs are for Salon use only.


PARKING

  • Free street parking is available and recommend.

  • Our back parking lot is for salon use only.

  • Metered parking on Rio Grande St


THIS IS A SHARED SPACE

  • The Studio is in a shared-use space.

  • We kindly ask that all guests respect the space, the salon and stylists on the ground level. This includes:

    • Keeping noise at a reasonable level

    • No loitering outside

    • No blocking front entrance

LIGHTING

  • Natural light is subject to change and variations; peak brightness is not guaranteed.

  • Overcast days may result in shadows and variable lighting in the Studio.

  • Refunds or rebooking not possible upon arrival due to lighitng.

  • If overhead studio lights are insufficient, bring your own lighting setup.

STUDIO USAGE

  • The salon (ground floor), balcony, back entrance, and any doors marked “PRIVATE” are strictly off-limits.

  • Limited use of the stairwell is permitted; noise must be kept to a minimum.

  • Kitchen is a shared space within the building and may be used during the rental period. Studio doors may be closed for privacy.

  • The following are strictly prohibited:

    • No nails, tacks, or any wall penetrations

    • No candles or open flames

    • No high-voltage appliances (like steamers or blenders)

    • No confetti or glitter

    • No smoke/fog machines

    • No smoking or drug use

    • No weapons of any kind

  • Renter shall promptly report any damage or breakage to the Studio Manager. Failure to do so may result in additional charges

CANCELLATION / REBOOKING

  • Cancellations made with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled one time at no additional charge, subject to availability.

    • To cancel: click the "Cancel / Reschedule Booking" button in your confirmation email.

    • To reschedule: click the “Cancel / Reschedule Booking” button in your confirmation email.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before scheduled booking time are non-refundable.

  • No-shows are non-refundable.

EXITING THE STUDIO

  • Renter upon departure will ensure that:

    • All lights are turned off

    • Thermostat is set back to 67°F

    • Premises is fully vacated by the end of the scheduled booking time.

  • Any occupancy beyond the scheduled booking time may result in additional charges, including overtime fees for extended overages.

  • Renter shall securely lock the studio door upon exit. Failure to secure the premises within ten (10) minutes of departure will result in an additional one (1) hour charge ($65).

  • Renter acknowledges that door access and activity are monitored via a smart lock system.

CLEANING

  • The Studio must be left in the same condition it was found. This includes:

    • Removal of all personal items, or items used during your rental time

    • Placing trash in the appropriate receptacles

    • Wiping up spills, sweeping any messes

    • Returning all furniture and props to their original placement

  • If the kitchen/shared space was used during your rental time is must be cleaned and left in the same condition it was found.

  • If the Studio requires excessive cleaning or resetting, an additional cleaning fee will be charged.

  • Cleaning Fee: 50% of the total rental amount.

PETS

  • Pets are permitted only when disclosed at the time of booking and with a pet fee of $25.

  • Pets must be supervised at all times and may not be left unattended.

  • Renter assumes full responsibility for any additional cleaning, messes, damage, noise, or disruptions caused by pets.

FURNITURE, PROPS, AND STUDIO AMENITIES

  • All furniture, props, and studio amenities are available for use, unless clearly marked as unavailable

  • If items are moved, they must be:

    • lifted (not dragged)

    • returned to their original location before exiting the studio

    • handled with care

  • Renter assumes full responsibility and liability for any loss, damage, or misuse of studio property occurring during the rental period.

  • Bluetooth speaker available for use, have fun, but keep volume at a respectful level.

  • Thermostat may be adjusted during the rental period; however, Renter shall return the thermostat setting to 67°F prior to exiting the studio.

DAMAGES

  • Renter assumes full responsibility for the Studio during the rental period, including all guests, clients, vendors, and attendees.

  • Renter agrees to pay for repair or replacement costs for any damage to the Studio, furniture, equipment, decor, or property.

LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS

  • The Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

MINORS

  • Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while in the Studio.

EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL

The Studio is not responsible for interruptions or cancellations caused by events outside our control, including power outages, weather emergencies, or any other unforeseen circumstances.
